Smith’s proven track record of building high performance sales and service organizations will be instrumental in achieving growth through expansion into new markets that require scalable, secure and proven enterprise video communications solutions.
As Qumu’s vice president of sales, Smith will lead the company’s worldwide sales, business development and field operations teams. He brings 25 years of leadership experience with software, technology and consulting services businesses, including Fortune 500s like Oracle, as well as high growth technology firms. Smith offers broad sales and operational expertise in hosting, managed services, on-demand solutions, professional services and enterprise software solutions.

Prior to Qumu, Smith served as vice president of sales at MarketLive, a leading SaaS eCommerce solution. Previously as vice president and general manager of Convergent Communications, he worked extensively with technology partners, including Cisco, 3Com, AT&T, Nortel and Level3, to establish the company as a leading provider of VoIP network solutions. Smith also founded his own consulting firm that specialized in establishing new technology markets and joint ventures between Asian and U.S. companies.
