Software Industry Veteran Steve Pattison Joins Qumu Management Team

Pattison to spearhead Qumu's Global Marketing and Business Development Operations

BERKELEY, CALIFORNIA (January 17, 2006) - Media Publisher, the Leader in Enterprise Video Communications, today announced the appointment of Steve Pattison to the Qumu management team as the vice president of marketing and business development. Pattison's responsibilities will include increasing awareness of the Qumu Enterprise Video Communication solution, overseeing all third party partnerships, and extending Qumu's reach into new markets internationally.

Steve brings to Qumu more than 15 years of experience with related content management technology and services companies. Most recently, Steve joined Qumu from Interwoven, an Enterprise Content Management software company, where he was the vice president of worldwide alliances and business development. At Interwoven, Pattison managed an international channel organization that doubled the company's systems integrator and technology partner community and grew channel revenue threefold. Pattison joined Interwoven via the merge with iManage, Inc. in November, 2003. At iManage, he lead the business development organization and established the initial reseller relationship between iManage and Interwoven.

"We are very excited to have Steve join the Media Publisher team and lead our marketing and business development efforts," said Qumu CEO Rod Bacon. "Steve's industry experience and track record of developing software companies will be instrumental as Qumu expands its position in the Enterprise Video Communications market."

"As video event broadcasting and the value of the accumulated video assets continues to grow exponentially, the opportunity to add value to an enterprise with a comprehensive software solution is tremendous," said Pattison. "Qumu has spent the past six years developing a scalable, extensible and highly functional software platform designed to operate within a company's existing infrastructure. With our partners, Qumu is well positioned to deliver on the promise of Enterprise Video Communications for customers internationally."

Prior to Interwoven, Pattison held management positions with Documentum (now a division of EMC, Inc.), Plumtree Software (acquired by BEA, Inc.), and PriceWaterhouseCoopers. He holds an MBA from the Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania) and a bachelor's degree in Marketing and MIS from the University of Minnesota.
