Project Manager - Bay Area
Qumu is both innovating existing products and launching new products as part of our enterprise video businesses. As a member of our project management team, you will bring intimate industry insight, strong technology project management skills, and entrepreneurial leadership to develop the business into a world leader.
Responsibilities:
- Development and management of the end to end software project schedule, including management of cross functional dependencies, tracking of key activities, deliverables, milestones, resource allocation analysis, and critical path management with timely decision analysis.
- Manage and assist with execution of all phases of product release process.
- Collaborate with development team to define and deliver new products and product capabilities.
- Work with Marketing and other cross-functional teams to define and execute product roll-out plans.
- Determine stakeholder and risk analysis and track project performance.
- Internally work with all Business Units and other cross-functional teams to define and execute product roll-out plans.
- Project level risk and issues management, including driving their mitigation and resolution, and escalation management.
- Provide support for sales and marketing via training, evangelism, and customer/partner meetings.
- Formal tracking of scope / requirements changes to project, facilitation of impact analysis, driving timely decisions around recommendations.
Skills/Qualifications :
- Strong organizational skills, detail oriented and familiar with structured product release process management.
- Extensive experience using the scrum development model with Agile software development.
- Engage with multiple partners to understand needs and distill into a set of requirements.
- Minimum of 5 years of program or project management experience.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and capable of briefing executive management.
- Focus on metrics and benchmarking; identify success criteria and plan to track, measure and report.
- Demonstrate track record of proactively establishing and following through on commitments.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and issues simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills.
- Driven, high energy level, and strong commitment to driving results.
- Ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and build consensus without clear authority.
Work Experience:
- Solid PMI project / program management experience with a strong preference for delivering large programs.
- 7+ years of progressive work experience with clear track record of success required.
- Experience building and implementing cross-functional strategic planning programs and processes.
- General management and/or product or project management experience required.
- Knowledge in hardware and global regulatory compliance preferred.
- Understanding of the enterprise video industry and its associated players preferred.
- Experience successfully managing large cross-functional projects and teams required.
Education:
- IT or Business related degree or equivalent.
- Candidate should be very proficient with Microsoft Office suite and Project.
