ENGINEERING
QA Engineer (Performance Analysis)
SUMMARY
Responsible for testing company’s Admin and Viewer portals, streaming data and encoder configurations with various streaming servers.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop Java Automated Test Harness to test UI components
- Conduct regular Build Verification Tests, regression tests, and GUI and database integrity testing
- Perform cross platform testing on Windows XP and Vista using IE
- Write test plans, test design documents, and performance and functional test cases
- Perform system tests, functionality tests, cross-browser tests, and troubleshooting
- Analyze performance results and provide suggestions for improvement
- Create and maintain test activity, test results and defect tracking for each item of the application under test
- Generate and present weekly project status reports with various test metrics
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- 5 years of experience as a software development/analysis experience
- At least 2 years of experience in performance analysis
- BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related
- Experience using open source testing tools such as JUnit or JMeter
- Experience writing code in Java, C#, and Loadrunner
Senior Software Engineer
SUMMARY
Responsible for advanced development of scalable enterprise video applications.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Use Java, C++, and .Net to develop scalable enterprise video applications
- Develop complex UIs in Java and J2EE
- Define requirements, and design and implement subsystems and modules for Qumu’s product
- Responsible for entire development life-cycle, including specification, design, development, documentation, quality assurance, release activities, and post-release support
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- 5 years of software development experience
- BS in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or related field
- Experience developing scalable enterprise applications
- Experience developing complex user interfaces in Java, J2EE, C++, and .Net

QA Engineer
SUMMARY
In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for release engineering practices and procedure as well as writing test automation. Your primary duties will consist of day-to-day oversight of the source control system and its content as well as definition and execution of typical release engineering tasks e.g. labeling code-lines, determining appropriate code-branching schemes, etc. You will also be responsible for the creation, enhancement of and maintenance of build automation. Other code writingoduct functionality. As the new hire comes up to speed this position will be more focused on release engineering tasks but over time the assumption is that only 50% of the ongoing activities will be concerned tasks may include but are not limited to creating scripts and tools to manage the release process as well as validate prwith release activities with the balance of time spent on test automation and/or tool creation.

Technical Support
Senior Technical Support Engineer
SUMMARY
The Senior Technical Support Engineer (Senior TSE) works as part of a team supporting all internal and external users of MPI products, including key enterprise customers and MPI field staff. The Senior TSE will often need to engage with customers in a consultative manner to resolve complex issues, working in conjunction with engineering and professional services personnel. The senior TSE is expected to cultivate a deep knowledge of MPI products and third-party technologies typically used by customers and mentor junior staff in the support organization. This is not a “call center” or “IT helpdesk” type of position – successful candidates should be capable of driving technical investigations to resolution in a dynamic working environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Research, replicate, perform root cause analysis and provide resolution to product issues reported by customer and field personnel
- Interface with Professional Services, Engineering and QA as necessary to resolve customer issues
- Maintain history and status of issues in the company’s trouble ticketing system.
- Contribute to the improvement of the company’s products, documentation, and processes.
- Author, review and publish technical documents in the company’s knowledgebase.
- Handle escalated issues and manage customer accounts assigned by management.
- Maintain Lab environment for all versions of Media Publisher configured with various third party products.
- Contribute to 24*7 On-call support.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years in a customer-facing technical role (e.g. professional services/consulting, presales engineering, technical support preferably with large enterprise customers.
- Experience in working with J2EE application server stack (preferably using JBOSS) and good understanding of production systems for the enterprise.
- Experience in IIS administration and troubleshooting skills on modern Windows platforms.
- Experience debugging network issues.
- Experience with RDBMS.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with a strong sense of customer commitment.

SE - Sales Support
Systems Engineer
This position is available in New York, NY and Bay area, CA
SUMMARY
The Systems Engineer (SE) will work with Account Executives to develop new business on software and solutions offered by Qumu. The Systems Engineer must work in a consultative role to understand customer needs and align them with a solution architected around the company’s enterprise software platform and applications. One must be able to clearly and persuasively communicate, via written work and oral presentations, a tailored message detailing the benefits of Qumu’s offerings to audiences ranging from network engineers to senior executives. In addition to working directly with Qumu’s Sales, Business Development, and Marketing teams to effectively communicate the value of the Enterprise Video Communications (both functionally and technically) to prospective partners and customers, this role will provide key feedback from the field to Product Management to enhance future product offerings.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide leadership in the sales process in tandem with the Qumu’s Account Executives, providing consulting and direct business domain expertise
- Present and demonstrate Qumu’s product offerings tailored to customer objectives
- Aid in responding to RFP/RFIs, and the creation of business cases and proposals
- Manage proof of concept and pilot engagements to ensure technical selection
- Become a trusted advisor to prospects in helping them understand the video communications landscape
- Make solution architecture recommendations based upon a clear understanding of customer requirements and existing infrastructure
- Facilitate the client transition from Sales to the Qumu’s Professional and Customer Services teams
- Provide feedback to Qumu’s Product Management team related to client and industry needs discovered during the sales process

Account Executive
SUMMARY
As an Account Executive you will work with inside reps, pre-sales field engineers and strategic partners selling Qumu's single web services based software video solution to new and current customers in the assigned territory. This is a senior appointment with a highly visible company in the enterprise video solutions software market space. The candidate, who must be able to demonstrate sustained high performance with consistent over-achievement in similar positions, will be expected to function independently, while meeting the goals set by the management team. The major day-to-day interactions will be with the telesales, pre-sales and implementation team members, and with partners, prospects and customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Generate direct and partner opportunities into existing and new accounts within the assigned territory.
- Close sales within the assigned territory to meet and exceed revenue quota responsibility.
- Build rapport and work closely with strategic partner field reps on targeted accounts.
- Present and demonstrate Qumu's products and services offerings.
- Develop proposals and quotations matching agreed upon products and services.
- Provide timely and accurate forecasts for quarterly and annual revenue targets.
